This is so clearly expressed Adam,

It strikes at the heart of cultivating whole school culture shifts with the analytical prowess and clinical exactitude that Scientists so often bring to the fore. Really enjoyed learning from you too, which is always a bonus!

I believe that in any other career (other than teaching), if you are being asked to do something certain way, you then need to do it that way. And if you gradually, over time, show this attitude you will be promoted and trusted. My experience from working in schools is that, if you are embedding new methods and following the instructions from above, you will come across so many obstacles including from people that work above your post and should appreciate that you are doing what they asked you to do. You will then see people who are not doing any of this being celebrated and promoted.
